Bush vetoes a FISA reform bill that he himself said if it didn’t pass, it would put at risk countless of Americans… and the reason he vetoed it, is because it didn’t carry immunity for the phone companies.So millions of American lives are less worthy to President Bush than the phone companies getting into hot water.I see. New Siren for DC Police With New Device, Police Shake, Rattle and Roll - washingtonpost.com
A few patrol cars in the district have a new type of siren. This one makes you feel it. Its got a couple of bass speakers that they can turn on for 10 seconds and you’ll not only see the red and blue lights in your rearview mirror, your rearview mirror will likely be rattleing, including you and the rest of your car. Interesting concept, but those sirens are already loud as hell, do we need to actually feel them too? Well, I for one can’t wait to see the next DC toy.

World burns up but Canada will be sweet! The most strongly worded and most widely supported report on global warming has been released to the U.N. Its a summary of research over five years by more than 2,000 of the top climate change scientists. Somewhat jarring to think about it, if things continue unabated as they are, these scientists are now expecting 20% to 30% extintion of the world’s animals. Don’t get me wrong, I like chicken and beef, but this is seems beyond $*%ed.But that’s not my gripe today! Oh no, I just want to point out how interesting it is to notice that Washington Times felt the need to counter world’s scientific community by running some fluff piece on how one professor at Yale published that for at least Canada, global warming may actually benefit them.

$5 Million Gift for Ocean Initiative Withdrawn Before Board Review

Who names their kids “Red” anyway? Well, whatever, this deal breaking jerk pulls out $5 million slated for a massive website on Oceans even before the Board of Regeants had met to discuss just how they could accept Big Oil money for the exibit. Smithsonian rightly is stressing out how such a controversial donation will be looked upon. This beedy eyed dork didn’t even give them a chance and sent a on sentence letter on pull out of the deal. It just goes to show, dealing with people with money in Washington DC comes at price that may not be worth it… at all. So here Smithsonian, yet again, just has a load of bad press for it’s efforts.

I truly wonder just how patriotic these folks are. I mean, are they with us or what? Then line up for those first class, tax paid tickets. It’s your man’s war, so get to it folks.

Well, well, another failing Texan throws in the towel. Karen Hughes at least realizes when she’s licked. After only serving two years as the head PR for America, she has to understand that there’s only so much shine get out of this administration. She’s calling it quits today.

How embarrassing for the lone star state. They sent us their very best to Washington DC and now they’re leaving in droves. I have even noticed a lot less shit kickers and cowboy hats in the city these days, and frankly, no one is going to missing that fashion statment. Now if only the President got the hint.
